Observatoire Atmosphérique
des Pyrénées

The Midi-Pyrénées Observatory (OMP) has two sites in the Hautes-Pyrenees vested in the experiment: the Atmospheric Research Center (ARC), located near Lannemezan to 588 m altitude, and distance of 28 km the Pic du Midi (PDM) to 2877 m above sea level. With the available human resources, infrastructure and carrying capacity of these two sites, observations of dynamics, atmospheric chemistry and electricity are regularly conducted.

The OMP hope that this double platform instrumented PDM / CRA, renamed "Atmospheric Observatory in the Pyrenees" (OAP), to obtain the label SOER to bring the platform at the highest level in terms of access by the scientific community in ways observation equity, capacity for external resources, and national and international visibility.
